Exciting TeachingBooks Updates for 2025
|
|
This is going to be a notable year at TeachingBooks. We just launched our Early Literacy Toolkit—offering a multifaceted instructional approach to early childhood literacy that aligns with key elements of the Scarborough Reading Rope.

Today I'm excited to announce a soon-to-be released impactful integration with Sora. As you might know, TeachingBooks joined OverDrive in 2021 so that we could merge Sora and Libby's digital books with TeachingBooks resources. Ever since, I have been dreaming about innovating ways to offer readers books and resources together. Coming very soon, if you have both TeachingBooks and Sora, you will be able to access the titles in your Sora collection directly from TeachingBooks with ease!

TeachingBooks is focused on many more impactful enhancements to uplift and deepen connections to the books read in your communities. For example, we now have the capability to give you a collection of resources that are aligned to the specific sets of books that your students are reading (see our Reading Program - Booklist form).
As always, we continuously evaluate the usage and efficacy of the design, features, and resources of our service. Along those lines, effective April 1, the following resource collections will no longer be available on TeachingBooks: author websites, book and series adaptation websites, and book-related apps.
Thank you for the privilege of being a part of your literacy work. We look forward to continuing to offer you impactful tools, resources, and integrations that bring books to life. And as always, reach out with any questions or for any support.
Appreciatively and my best,
Nick Glass
