Engage Readers over the Summer

Encourage reading all summer long!
Print TeachingBooks access flyers to send home with students reminding them they can access TeachingBooks from home!
Complement and expand upon visits to the public library with ready-made Summer Reading Program lists of titles in popular Library programs such as CSLP, iREAD, We Are Kid Lit, and more! As a bonus, lists include resources to go along with each title.
Share bookmarks or flyers that link to TeachingBooks titles and resources, such as:

- Sora Sweet Reads OverDrive's annual reading program running May 18-August 24, 2026. The collection of free and simultaneous use juvenile and young adult ebooks (and select audiobooks) are available to participating schools through the Sora reading app.
- Awards such as Caldecott Medal honorees or Best Fiction for Young Adults
- The Complete Books & Poems Collection so students can watch or listen to books even if they can’t make it to the library.
- Story Time Activity Kits and Digital Book Kits that encourage family engagement with picture books.
- Summer themed Lists like Summer Scares 2026 or the ALSC Summer Reading List
- Or even custom lists of titles you create yourself! Learn how to create lists with this video tutorial.
