Continuing the trilogy where "The Dark Portal" left off, the Deptford Mice, newly arrived in the countryside following the horrors of the city's rat-infested sewers, find themselves embroiled in a series of horrible murders of young villagers. They discover that Jupiter, evil lord of the sewers, has found a way to work evil from the netherworld, and he is seeking revenge.
