Book Description
for Adventures with Waffles by Maria Parr and Kate Forrester
From The United States Board on Books for Young People (USBBY)
Trille and Lena are best friends and do and share everything together. They get into all kinds of trouble, but their families and the adults in their small community always forgive them. Trille wishes that Lena would say that he is her best friend, because she is definitely his best friend. They joke with Trille's grandpa, and eat the best waffles ever made by Trille's Auntie Granny. Then Auntie Granny dies, and Lena moves away, and Trille feels like everything is lost. Taking place over a year, this is a charming story about friendship and family.
