Almost a year after the automobile accident that killed her father and left her in a wheelchair, Crystal must now deal with the grief of her grandmother's death. When Crystal's mother is offered an art exhibition in a gallery in New Mexico, Crystal is left to care for her grandmother's elderly neighbor, Zola. But Zola suffers from memory loss, and one day she disappears. Crystal immediately suspects something sinister is afoot, and she knows she must solve the mystery of Zola's disappearance before something happens to the eccentric old woman.
